Failed to parse failure response

I recently tried installing vortex (versions 1.12.6, 1.11.7 and 1.10.8. Tried so many versions as troubleshooting) again and when I get to the point where i have to sync my vortex and nexus accounts, I cannot do it. I'm able to login to nexus just fine but vortex and nexus are not working together. When trying to sync my two accounts I get an error code from vortex that says "failed to parse failure response". I am using opera GX as my primary browser but I also tried using Edge and I got the same results.
