Creating Custom "Mod Types". Marking files in archives to not deploy.

Hi all. I'm on Vortex 1.12.6 and am using it to mod No Man's Sky.

The issue I have is in relation to deployment locations. I see that "Mod Types" define rules for where a mod is deployed however I'd like to create my own rules for certain mods; specifically mods with .lua scripts. I want vortex to install these ones to AMUSS's "Mod Scripts" folder.

Additionally, a lot of the mods that have .lua scripts also contain the .pak files in their archives and I would like to create rules to stop the latter from being deployed alongside the former.

For bonus points; is there a way to tell vortex to run an external program? Obviously in this scenario, AMUSS, but as another example, I know that some Skyrim mods need FNIS to run once mods are installed.

Thanks for any help!
