Ksolidey
Recently, I had one of the hard drives in my PC fail which typically had all my games and more importantly, my Skyrim SE mods downloaded on. So over the last few days I have been re-downloading and installing some mods for a new playthrough as, like we all get, I had an itch to play the game again. As I was previously using NMM (and since, a community continuation of it) since I had well over 1000 mods downloaded previously, I hadn't used Vortex at all since it was released, but as I was restarting, I decided it was about time I'd changed out my mod manager to a better one. Thus, the problem ensued.. So, to cut a long story short, every time I start my Skyrim SE, for whatever reason all my plugins disable themselves while the mods are still enabled, and I'm left running a vanilla game again. This wouldn't necessarily be a bad thing, but there's only so much "Hey you, you're finally awake" a man can take.. I would like to find out why this is happening, and if there's a fix for it. I've watched Gophers guide into Vortex (albeit it is slightly outdated now) to see if I was missing any steps but it looks like I'm doing everything as I'm supposed to. After downloading any mod, I have the setting to auto deploy on, and I verify this before closing the manager that all plugins I'm expecting are enabled. Load order is sorted prior to launch, along with FNIS being run too. Newest version of SKSE is being used Newest version of Skyrim is being used Newest version of Vortex is being used All mods are the most up to date versions, although I expect this not to really have any impact anyways. No unsorted clashes, all dependencies and compatibility patches are installed too. I'm at a bit of a loss here so any support is appreciated! 7531Leonidas
If you are running a separate installation of LOOT to sort your mods, that is a bad idea, as it totally negates the internal processes Vortex uses for certain parts of LO considerations, notifications, and determinations. The Autosort settings in Vortex should be sufficient. Another possible cause is an improper installation/outdated version of Engine Fixes. One more, is if you accidentally/on purpose open up the Beth mod manager in the system menu. Check here on the Nexus wiki ( https://modding.wiki/en/skyrim/users/skse-plugins ) to make sure that your SKSE dependent mods are the appropriate versions to match your version of Skyrim. Thanks for the reply, no extra instance on LOOT has been used, only the auto sort feature on Vortex like you mentioned has been used. The most up to date installation of SSE Engine fixes has been downloaded/installed too (both parts). Should probably clarify that everything has been installed at the same version and in the same way as prior to my hard drive failure. I dont think it'll be to do with the Bethesda mod manager as I dont have that installed on my PC. I'll go through the wiki you've linked and double check everything. It does seem to have the same problem if I even just load 1 mod such as the USSEP

Zanderat
This is possibly a known issue with SSE Engine Fixes. Instead of saying "newest version", give specific version number for your .exe, SKSE, and SSE Engine Fixes.

But yeah, I should've been more specific really, apologies. See below for actual info: Skyrim SE Version: 1.6.1170.0 SKSE Version: 0.2.2.6 SSE Engine Fixes Version: Part 1 - 6.2, Part 2 - 2020.
