N00b question about ‘dlc’

Hi, I’m just about to get back into Fallout 4 after a few years hiatus and am wondering if some of the ‘dlc’ that was added in the years between, that are now required for the unofficial patch, will download automatically when I reinstall or if it I’ll have to buy them. I’m talking about the enclave remnants, Halloween workshop, and makeshift weapons, I believe. Don’t have access to my computer right now so I’m asking for when I get it back. Thanks.

But the DLCs that you actually will want are Far Harbor and Nuka World.

If you buy the game of the year edtion they are included.

I have a low opinion of "enclave remnants, Halloween workshop", especially since you are spammed with them out of the vault with no reason why you should know or care about those. And they do unbalance the game.

I recommend the NixGen series to either postpone those (for when you have long beaten the main quest and are starting to get bored) or disable them entirely :

many people prefer to stay on game version .163 and have found ways to lock their game on that version (but that would be a seperate thread)

Thanks for the heads up! I mostly just want them so the unofficial patch will work, but I’ll definitely use the delayed start mod so the games a little more immersive

My suggestion is to download both versions of UFO4P.

The current one (2.1.7) and the one that supports 1.10.163 (2.1.5).

Eventually, the latter will likely disappear - so if you ever (in the future) want to revert back you will still have the version for 1.10.163.

How does that saying go at car lot sales - when they are gone they are gone.  😄
