RedHeadAngel
I'm at my wit's end with this. I have tried everything. I installed multiple fixes (not at the same time), including Supplemental Beauty and Vampire Faces Restored, but none worked. I use HPH and have the fix for vampires enabled, but that doesn't work, either, which is why I tried the other mods after disabling the fix. I also tried Normal Vampire Face For High Poly Head, but that didn't work, even after I attempted loading its esp below Better Vampires. I disabled all mods I have related to vampires to see if I could locate the issue, but found nothing. This problem isn't just for HPH, but vanilla heads, too. I have been at this for 2 days now and am no closer to finding the solution than I was when I began. Honestly, I'm about to throw my PC out of my fraggin' window. Does anyone have any ideas? EDIT: The cheek situation has been (seemingly) resolved. However, the eyes still aren't changing to the ones for vampires. scorrp10
As I understand, the issue is specifically with transforming into a vampire. It is basically a race change, at which point instead of using, say NordRace morphs on the head, you are instead now using NordRaceVampire ones. So unless you can get a version of meshes\actors\character\character assets\FemaleHeadRaces.tri which does not create sunken cheeks for the vampire races, that should solve the issue...

I will likely sound like an idiot, but what do you mean?
scorrp10
Ok, I think you need to start from the beginning. Exactly at what point do you encounter those 'sunken cheeks'? Is it on your own player character following a transformation to vampire? Is it on a follower that you transform into vampire? Before/after screenshots? If it is on player, try going into (console: showracemenu), exporting your current look as a preset, and also export your current head under the sculpt tab. That would be step one - determining what parts make up your vampire head and what textures are being used. The sunken cheeks thing can be a result of either: 1. Actual mesh deform (a morph). Assuming your character race is a Nord (nordrace), you turn into nordracevampire race, at which point your face headpart changes (likely to FemaleHeadNordVampire) and the racial morph for nordracevampire gets applied. 2. A different normal texture. The actual head mesh might be exactly the same, but the normal texture used (msn) makes it look like cheeks are sunken. This greatly depends on whatever default skin you have installed.

I've managed to solve the sunken-cheek problem with @drsemmel’s help. However, I am still having an issue with the eyes. I solved the cheek issue by loading the vampire fix from HPH below Better Vampires, which caused the fix to not work for some reason. As for the eyes, they don't change upon me becoming a vampire. When I try to change them in RaceMenu, they glitch out. They work for NPCs, though.
scorrp10
Frankly, it is real hard to make any sense of that concoction of mods - but generally, when you change to a vampire, you could go into racemenu and save your character as a preset to see what eyes are you now using. Here, for example, is me loading up a character and applying a Tifa preset, see the parts list And here is after doing a player.setrace nordracevampire It switches her to having a FemaleHeadNordVampire, and she now has FemaleEyesHumanVampire01 (which are from Dawnguard.esm, actually)
Karna5
RaceMenu is forcing the vampire eyes on you. When you use RaceMenu (either with the showracemenu or the "skee preset-load [file]" methods), if you're a vampire, it will give you the yellow glowing vampire eyes. I always play a vampire, and to keep the eyes human I do the following steps. 1. I installed this mod: Vampire Eye Fix (Disable Vampire Overlay) at Skyrim Special Edition Nexus - Mods and Community 2. When I want to use racemenu in any form, I first use the console command to switch me to human. For instance, I'm currently playing a breton, so I type: prid 14 setrace breton 3. Now I can use showracemenu or the "skee preset-load penny27" command to make whatever change I want. 4. When I'm done, I switch back to vampire: setrace bretonracevampire Doing this I never get forced into vampire eyes. The key is to have the vampire eye fix mod and to always be in human form when you're using racemenu.

I want to have them because I have a mod that changes them from the crappy vanilla ones. However, the issue is that my eyes don't change when becoming a vampire. The head didn't change to the HPH vampire head. However, I don't see why that would affect the eyes. It didn't stop the teeth from turning into fangs. scorrp10
Ok, see that 'Overlay head part list' checkmark? It means that upon switching to this race, you are getting those head parts replacing your current ones. If your eyes do NOT switch to vampire variant, it means that the last mod that changes your destination vampire race, has that checkmark off. As an exercise: you saw in my prior post with Tifa that I was getting vamp eyes. So I created a plugin that overwrites NordRaceVampire, removing that flag for the female. I save and enable the plugin, and make sure it loads last. (In SSEEdit, this is found under DATA- Flags(Sorted) - Overlay Head Part List) With this plugin, switching to vampire no longer changes the eyes. So you really need to use SSEEdit to check which mods mess with your vampire races. P.S. Another option is in that same race record, Overlay flag is still n place, but the Vamp eyes have been removed from the parts list.
