When starting Vortex it freezes with the message "Loading Extension"

Vortex version: 1.12.6.0

What game: not sure if it has anything to do with the game

How many mods: 0

What environment: Windows 10 Pro 64-bit (Build 19045.5131), 16GB RAM

When I launch Vortex, I get the Vortex splash screen and then the application window loads and gets stuck on "Loading extensions". A fresh reinstall did not change anything. I completely uninstalled the application and manually deleted all the remaining files I could find on all my drives. Unfortunately, this did not help.

Can you try renaming the folder at %appdata%\Vortex to something like "Vortex_Old" and see if that helps?

If it doesn't, it means that something on your PC is blocking Vortex from starting up properly.

It's very likely to be something on your PC causing this. Usually, it'll be anti-virus or security apps interfering with Vortex's startup sequence.
