Redeye1961
The Fallout Anniversary Patcher is not working for me so I had a thought of uninstalling FOSE 1.3 and reinstalling 1.2. How does one go about doing that though as there is no uninstall file that I can find? Thanks in advance.
Drarack
You would just drop the files into the same folder and it would overwrite the other version and files. You could delete the other files first if you wanted to have a clearer folder, but it should still only use it's files and ignore the leftovers. Problem is, using less than 1.3b2 is going to cause all sorts of issues. Probably best keep trying to get the patcher working unfortunately. Cheers Bethesda. There's a few versions of fose out there, and that's usually what causes these issues. In case you having the wrong one is your issue, version 1.3b2 is here: https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout3/mods/8606?tab=files
Redeye1961
That's the version I am currently using. I downloaded and installed the TTW version of the patcher in error which I thought may be the problem. I thought I'd gotten rid of the TTW files but I suspect there may be some lurking gremlin that prevents the patcher file from working. Since the rollback to 1.2 is what is required to get FOSE to work with the FWE mod, I figured I'd just reinstall 1.2 and be done with it.
Redeye1961
Yeah, no, it didn't work. Exact same message saying FOSE is not installed and the Anniversary Patcher still does not function. I've posted this in several other forums so I guess it wouldn't hurt to post it here also. This is the error message I get when I try and use the patcher: "Hash checks completed. Found Steam/GOG executable. Backup created. This version of C:\Steam\SteamApps\common\Fallout 3 goty\xdelta3.exe is not comp atible with the version of Windows you're running. Check your computer's system information to see whether you need a x86 (32-bit) or x64 (64-bit) version of th e program, and then contact the software publisher. Press any key to continue . . ." Starting to drive me a little nuts as the solution has to be a simple one. Edited Tuesday at 02:56 AM by Redeye1961
