I enabled direct PayPal donations on my mods, 21st Century ReShade and Weapon Loading Screens, both for Red Dead Redemption 2. When I click on the "donate" button just as a test to see if it works, it takes me to a PayPal page and it says "this organization can't accept donations right now". I've checked multiple times to confirm I entered the correct email address, both on the Nexus pages of my mods and my PayPal account itself. The email I put in my Nexus profile is the same one for my PayPal.

I tried searching about this issue on Google, only a few results were relevant. I tried them all but none works so far. In case it helps, I live in the Philippines and my PayPal isn't a "business" account for now.

This is a known bug related to your PayPal region. There is no fix for it planned at the moment, but we have recorded it internally.

I understand now. Thanks for the reply. I'm just going to wait for PayPal to fix it.

This just occurred to me when attempting make a donation to ianpatt whose location on their Nexus profile is set to the US.  If that is their paypal region too, this bug is pretty wide.

It's weird that paypal seems to think the donation should go to an organization, I would assume most modders are using non-organization, people accounts on paypal.

Just reporting another data point.

I've poked ianpatt about this directly. As previously mentioned, it's some kind of PayPal shenanigans and not directly controlled by us.

No organization here. Everything seemed verified and set up correctly after talking with v1ld over PM earlier, literally nothing showing up in the options or other pages with missing info or warnings. However, after some searching, going to https://www.paypal.com/donate/buttons/ asked me to re-enter some basic information they already had and now it appears to be working?

Such is paypal.
