There was an issue similar to this a while back that involved the installation of SKSE.  I think manually installing SKSE instead of letting Vortex do it was one solution.

It wasn't just SKSE, it could happen with other mods that are installed in the main folder rather than the DATA folder as well.

I appreciate the insight. I'm pretty sure that I've used Vortex to install everything, as I have encountered issues in the past when I tried a mix of installations.

The only non-Vortex change that has ever been done, is I used the SSEEdit to create and Override esp to resolve a conflict, Wrye Bash in creating a Bashed.esp.

I have the similar issue here. It is very strange that i didn't do any installation outside of Vortex, it was fine couple days ago.

And now when I install a mod and enable it, the process start installing mod then automatic initial "purging - remove link".

((Edited))
I gonna clarify a bit how it happen.
1)When I try to install a mod (Yet to manually Deploy), after it done, it should become "disable", but somehow it will start purging.
2)Another case is, when I try to managing rules, after I saved the conflict manage rules, it start to purging.

And it constantly start to preparing purge, even I have cancel the process. And I have to reopen the program.
There is no issue when I start to deploy mods.

Vortex version is 1.13.5

I removed my Vortex installation of SKSE and installed it manually.

The headaches with Vortex constantly purging have stopped.

Thank you for recalling the similar issue from the past, as it was really getting annoying. I had plans to wipe out everything and move to MO2 instead of Vortex if it wasn't for your recommendation working.

You didn't need to remove it, reinstall it and properly set the file override rules. It's a bit of a bad design on the part of whatever mod is directly overriding SKSE files but maybe there's a good reason for it(?).

I reviewed the Manage Rules in Vortex, and nothing was showing as conflicting with SKSE.

So unless conflicts with it are ignored by Vortex and automatically override it, there wasn't anything doing that.

This issue affects mods that were installed before Vortex could determine cross-modtype conflicts. I forget which version that was. If you reinstall SKSE, it should flag conflicts and let you resolve them, but as you've done so manually there's no need. 🙂

Hi, after reading your message, I immediate check if there is any overwrite toward SKSE, yes I aware there is one and after uninstall the particular "patch" it solve the vortex issue. Thank you.
