Vortex Not Recognizing Games on PC

I just downloaded Vortex and joined Nexus Mods.  I am chalking this up to inexperience with the apps.  I am running the latest version of vortex I believe its 1.13.  Windows 11 etc.   The issue I am having is that I have watched several videos that are in reference to the older versions of Vortex (which btw, seem alot more appealing than this current version).  I read that the scan/locate games function was removed and it has thus became an automatic process. The auto process isn't finding anything and provides me with 404 unmanaged games that are not even in my library...  I currently only download through steam.  Can someone please guide me as I am a little frustated.

You just need to type the name of the game into the field at the top of the games list and then hover over the result and choose the "manage" option that comes up.

Vortex no longer allows you to bulk select games since you are only going to be modding one at a time anyway.
