It was known over a year ago there would be push back at sitewide implementation and there were multiple "hot issues" they didn't plan on changing/adjusting back then (which are still "hot issues" now), but far too few complained when it was just the profile pages/forums. I think that it was some users' excuse(s), to not be that upset at that time, was something to the effect "it is only the profile pages, I hardly/never view anyways". Some of us knew that when it was the rest of the site it would be a bigger deal but we were too few at that time. Now it looks like the vocal minority seems more and louder than they predicted; I believe they are willing to make some changes they were not willing a year ago because of that. But they may still not ultimately do/change what a lot of what people are upset about or make enough changes to make people feel it is enough. People can either play ball and give detailed feedback or keep complaining without feedback, which may just be ignored since it might be considered unhelpful. All I can say is no matter how much I gave detailed feedback last year (85 posts on one thread alone) only very little resulted in changes but some did—though it was only slight and minor. Expand The "feedback" they want is "what token gestures can we make while ultimately not changing anything or reverting back to the old system". They want people to get bogged down into this dynamic of submitting 500 different specific nuanced feedback items - both to exhaust them and distract them - and so they can make it look like they're playing ball with taking feedback seriously, when in reality they'll ignore anything that's a drastic change, rollback, or doesn't align with what they wanted to do already. They'll cherrypick the items that are easy, irrelevant, already on their todo list, etc, and then they'll do a Bush and put up a big Mission Accomplished banner and wait for the complaints to die down as people lose steam and run out of energy. 2

I'll try to clear a few things up but ultimately, I think there's little we can do at this stage to satisfy your complaints other than just switching back to how the website was. To be clear, we are not switching the website back to how it was. Expand Except that's literally what everybody wants at this point. Nexus is a business. I cannot even imagine what logic is being used to justify sticking to this objectively bad UI swap when the community uproar is the largest it's been in years

chrisj165
Gabe - "We think there is a fundamental misconception about piracy. Piracy is almost always a service problem and not a pricing problem" This applies to nexus in my case, if it wasn't for this asinine change i wouldn't have removed my sub and have started looking into how to automate the manual installation of modpacks for vortex collections and wabbajack with python scripts / tampermonkey scripts, and now i know about this i don't honestly think i'll go back to paying for an already overpriced sub. Don't even need to remove the new site, just provide a old.nexus site prefix so people can use the old variant, there was a script on reddit to get the old site back but some knob updated and removed it from the API once the post gained traction... Thanks for forcing me to enlighten myself about scripts i guess? lol. EDIT: to add to this quote "Don't even need to remove the new site, just provide a old.nexus site prefix so people can use the old variant" you could add this and once lets say for example less than 5% of users are using this old.nexus do away with it. Community Manager JustThatKing Posted March 31 Author Community Manager Share Posted March 31 We have put out a large update post regarding our changes to mod browsing. It explains why we made these changes, address some of your key concerns, and outline what we are changing and what we will not be changing, based on the beta testing period, the full site launch, ongoing survey results and your specific feedback. JobiWanUK
Just read the announcement. Basically it boils down to 'we know you don't like it, but here's why we did it and we might make some minor changes, one day, soon'. Not impressed. You're not really listening to feedback at all. My main two complaints, list view, and tracked content updates - you're basically telling me I'm in a minority of people that use them so I don't really matter. 8
