Borderlands 2 not existing in the games manager

So, I used nexus mods a lot for Baldur's gate and vortex immediately detected the game, however now when I'm using it for borderlands 2, I'm having issues. on the website borderlands 2 is a game with mods for it and in the how to video of managing games I can see it but for me it doesn't exist. this on top of the fact I'm unaware of how to enable management for a game that isn't detected by vortex nor is it in vortex. If anyone could help id be grateful.

Borderlands 2 is not supported by Vortex.
