Vortex does not use the new Mods folder location for No Man's Sky. Worlds Part II update.

Pardon me if this is in the wrong section, but the latest update to NMS is a major one, and has changed where mods are now installed.

The old method of installation via Vortex was in the folder structure as...

"No Man's Sky Directory>\GAMEDATA\PCBANKS"

the new method is almost the same, but ...
"No Man's Sky Directory>\GAMEDATA\"

Each time I load Vortex, it can't find the mods, and keeps asking to "fix" them, so how do we get Vortex to put the mods into the new folder structure?
I can move them manually, but then what do I pay my sub for if Vortex doesn't work as intended?

TIA 👍

Vortex does not use the new Mods folder location for No Man's Sky.

The mechanism by which mods work is different from before. Besides, the mod path has changed after Worlds Part II updated. Refer to the following:

Before: No Man's Sky\GAMEDATA\PCBANKS\MODS

After: No Man's Sky\GAMEDATA\MODS

If the game extension is needing an update, then yes.  Search for something like 'game extension No Man's Sky', or 'game extension update No Man's Sky'.  Might have to use AND in between each word to get the specific phrase in results.

Disclaimer - I do not have this game at all.

Well it looks like they've fixed it 👍

Anyway, I was basically installing the mods via Vortex as normal, but NMS couldn't 'see' them. All I then did was to just copy & paste the 'installed' mods from

"No Man's Sky Directory>\GAMEDATA\PCBANKS"

into...

"No Man's Sky Directory>\GAMEDATA\"

Each time there were updates, I just updated as normal, then deleted the 'old' "No Man's Sky Directory>\GAMEDATA\Mods\" folder, then redid the above steps.

Now of course I don't have to, unless it breaks again 😉

I had posted about this last Friday at

Anyway, they have fixed it. Mods now install in the correct 'new' folder structure. 👍

I installed latest version Vortex 1.13.7

It still insists PCBANKS\MODS ??

Even creates it's own mods folder after I deleted the folder.
