Raybrand
I'm really fascinated by the mods people create for games and I want to find out where and how I can pick up those skills. So far my experience is just texture replacement, model extracting from games made in unity, some stuff with cheat engine and blender. For starters I want to learn how to extract models from games and replace them with models I've created or modified from other games (Then eventually move on to more advanced stuff). There's a specific game I want to get started with (FF7Rebirth) but would love to learn more about modding in general
HeyYou
Gotta be careful porting models from one game to another, a fair few game companies tend to take offense at that, and legal action ensues....
AaronOfMpls
Yup, it's against the Nexus rules to post such mods here, unless the game company specifically allows their assets to be ported like that. (e.g., CD Projekt Red allows it for the Witcher games.)
Raybrand
Thanks for the warning. I've found a some guides to extract models from the game (FF7 Rebirth and some Unreal Engine games) but I haven't found any that tells me how to import the updated models them back in. Some help please
