AlaxoucheModding
When you mod for a long time (it's been 5 years for me), you will probably, just like me, make multiple modlists, for several reasons. When you build heavy modlists (i have 1400+ mods), and you want to make a new one, it's really a pain to know which one you downloaded for that new list or not. For those reasons i would really appreciate if you can work on a way to permanently hide that download history. Isguros
For context: this was a suggestion made in 2022 that has yet to receive a response from the staff team. 1
hat12
It's hard to look at 119 I agree. Deleting download history is positive. It is difficult to keep track of newly downloaded mods.
lumberfart
There is A LOT of mods that I have downloaded, installed, endorsed, and inevitably uninstalled. Am I crazy for thinking that the "track" button should dictate whether or not you see future updates for a mod? I like a mod after downloading > I enable "track" > I get notified of new updates for this mod in my feed I dislike a mod after downloading > I disable "track" > I continue to receive updates for this mod in my feed I believe that it would be a HUGE quality of life change to either rename the "track" button, or add an additional "hide updates" button for any mod you have previously downloaded. It is really annoying to login to NexusMods, seeing the "new update" notification, only to be disappointed that it is not for any of the mods you currently have installed but rather for a random mod you uninstalled 7 months ago
zloybelka
I'd say, a better option would be not to just delete download history but: 1. an option to hide the "Updated" badge on a mod you've downloaded but don't want to see updates for and 2. an option to have an additional column in your download history table for making short personal notes on modes (e.g. "never using this mod again", "using this for the next playthrough" and whatnot). That way you won't have to redownload what you didn't like once already. But as this would require even more storage capacity, I suppose, it's very unlikely to happen. Community Manager Pickysaurus Posted April 8 Community Manager Share Posted April 8 One idea I proposed in the past was to have a "cutoff date" for your download history so that anything before the cutoff isn't loaded and isn't used for the mod badges. So I could say, "Today I want to 'reset' my download history, so don't use any of my downloads from before 8 April 2025". Not sure if that fixes all of the problems, there are a lot of use cases to consider. 1
lumberfart
I like the idea of a "cutoff date" for download history. Idk how server space works for NexusMods but maybe it would be beneficial to wipe everyone's download history after 12 months of usage, as an example. There already is a 30k downloads cutoff, thank you. I prefer my download history where it is now.

We don't delete download history at all because it's fundamental to how some of our website systems work. Including the various mod author rewards (free premium, Donation Points). We have had to limit how much each user can see themselves to 30k downloads for performance reasons though.
