MOD Troubleshooting Help

Hello! First of all, I'm sorry if I'm creating this topic in the wrong session. I'm new to the community and trying my best to learn everything; it's a bit overwhelming.

I've paid for premium and installed Vortex to manage my mods. Currently, I have all of the mods shown below. However, I'm getting constant crashes, even at the beginning of the game. Does anybody have any idea what mod can be causing the problem?

I'm running the game through Vortex (Fallout 4 Script Extender), and my PC has this spec:

  • AMD Ryzen 7 5700G
  • 32 GB RAM
  • RTX 2070 Super
  • 1TB SSD NVMe
  • 3400x1440 ultrawide monitor

Obs: I've already added these settings shown below. I know it's a lot of mods, but would really love some insight.

Okay, so a bit of background could be helpful for trouble shooting.  What version of the game are you running?  What mods were you running before you experienced crashes? What was the last thing you did before the crashing started?

Sorry.

The game version is 1.10.984.0. I was aware of this when downloading the MODs since some of them were version-specific.

I wasn't able to run anything before my first attempt with crashes. I've played the whole game already on PS5, but since I have a PC now, I wanted an experience with MODs. That's why I started with all these 50+ MODs (and from what I've read, many MODs can compromise the save file, so I didn't want to add something like this later on and have the chance to corrupt my save file).

On my first save, I was able to reach Concord when the crashes started, but I didn't notice that I was playing with SimSettlements and SimSettlements2, which caused a conflict. So, I removed SimSettlements and started a new save. On this new save, it's crashing as early as the Vault-Tec salesman offering Vault 111.

Also, my FPS is consistently above 70.

Don't know if it will solve anything, but at least the "Unofficial Fallout 4 patch" has to be the first (.esp) in your load order.

I’ll try that, but, as I’m said I’m newbie on this, shouldn’t vortex automatically handle this?

Regarding load order. Scrap Everything (I would recommend the ultimate edition) belongs at the absolute end of your load order. PRP mods perhaps directly above. But with this few mods and for a new playthrough I ask myself whether you need PRP repair mods at all. And it is always a good idea to begin a playthrough without mods enabled until you leave Vault 111 for the first time. Especially weapon mods. When you are able to play without mods and left Vault 111 you could make a save and begin to enable your mods again.

It's the ultimate edition.

So, it's better to actually start a new save, with no MODs, and add them after leaving Vault 111 the first time?

Yes. Some mods must not be activated before you left Vault 111 (at least until you get your Pip-Boy). Some other mods are ok to activate before like character creation. But to make things easier I recommend to start without mods, play until you leave Vault 111, make a save and begin to reenable your mods step by step and not all at once. With testing and saving after every time you added mods. So in case a mod causes problems you can find out. Whether this helps is as always a matter of trial and error. You could verify your game file integrity to be sure that an unmodded game would work. Your ini entries can stay as they are.
