RaenaColeen
Hi everyone and anyone who might read this! So I'm having an issue where trees in the distance are blocky and black, and buildings are white, like radioactively white. I've tried a few "fixes" which involved editing the .ini file to hopefully fix the issue but no dice with the MyDocs version, or the Steam folder versions. I just upgraded my computer from a 6GB 1660ti and a Ryzen 5 (I don't remember which model) to a 8GB 3050, a Ryzen 7 5800X and 32 GB of RAM. Does anyone have any ideas, because my face is tired of seeing a white washed Cydonia.
HeyYou
Delete your shader cache, and have the game rebuild it.
RaenaColeen
Okay, how do I access that? I'm on Windows 10 still, and never had to access shader caches before.
RaenaColeen
So I recompiled the shaders via the pipeline file deletion method and no luck.
HeyYou
Hhhhmmm........ Are you still playing the same toon as before the hardware update? Could try renaming the ini files in your My Games\Starfield folder..... (rename, as opposed to delete, in case this doesn't work, just change the extension to .bak) Restart the game, let the game rediscover your hardware, and see if anything improves.
