Suggestion: Add a “Drugs/Alcohol Use” Tag for Mods and Games

I’ve noticed several mods now—this is at least the seventh one—that include hemp or similar content involving drug use. However, these mods don’t fall under any of the existing adult content tags:

  • Extreme violence/gore

  • Nudity

  • Sexualised content

  • Sexy/Skimpy

  • Swearing/Profanity

While the content isn’t graphic or explicit in those categories, it still involves drug-related themes. A dedicated “Drugs/Alcohol Use” tag would help clarify this type of content for users who want to filter it in or out.

Thanks for considering it.

We could probably add a tag for this fairly quickly, but making it an adult content classification is more complex. We'll have to talk about it with the team. Some games (for example, Schedule I) have default gameplay centered around drug use.

Hmm good point. If I could contribute to that conversation, the tag was more aimed for if the mod adds that adult content. I haven't explored what mods there are for games centered around drugs like schedule 1 (is it schedule i or 1 ?) but I guess if they don't add more variant or elements of the already existing drugs there would be no need to tag it with this new tag.

Or do add it for anything related directly to drugs/alcohol , it's kind of like every mods for stardew valley having SMAPI tag because it's the base element for modding the game, or bepinEX, for unity(?) engine games, let the users and forum moderator clean up the tags enabled ¯\_(ツ)_/¯)
