AndyPandyW
Anyone know of a mod anything like the Hunting mods already out there that add guilds and rewards and increase the value of hides etc... but that does so for supernatural monsters (Vampires, Skeletons, Werewolves, Ice Wraiths, Trolls, Deathhounds, Ice Wraiths, Daedra, Dragons, Hagravens, Shades, Spriggans, Wisps etc....) instead of animals? I'm a massive Witcher fan (a cliche around here I'm sure) and I want more incentive to go out and hunt monsters around the towns. And on a side note, also looking for a mod that would increase the number of these monsters found in Skyrim but hide them away a bit like, maybe make them spawning out in the open really rare, but have an increased number of lairs. zigen1111
I would also like to find a mod like this as I play a supernatural hunter myself. (ala Van Helsing/Blade) A tad stale once you finish the Dawnguard and most vampire, daedric quests. Not sure if this is what you're looking for regarding the spawns but these are the mods I use for my playthrough: Monster Mod (lore version)Immersive Creatures DFB Random EncountersWerewolves Occuring Naturally You can also add some AI mods for a better experience:Deadly CombatUltimate CombatEnemy AI Overhaul Revenge of the EnemiesVampire and Werewolves AI Overhaul
ArchangelZero7
Become a Vigilant of Stendar and get payed to destroy such abominations?
AndyPandyW
Thanks both of you, some of those mods look particularly promising and I also found one called Truly Undead which seems like it will make the whole thing a bit more interesting too. And I never knew about the Vigilant of Stendar thing. Is it a quest?
ArchangelZero7
Not yet, but if I remember correctly I think someone may be making a faction mod for the Vigilants. If they release it you could always either adjust it or make your suggestion there, as I feel it may fit in well with what they intend. I'll look for the post and link it for you if you're interested.
ethernalhero
You should definitely try Immersive Creatures, it's one of the best mods on Nexus, in my opinion!
VanKrill
A decent "Monster Hunting" mod would include a plot element where after a dozen kills within a given creature line, a reputation would be established. This would result in two things: 1] People would come to the player to hire the riddance of particular instances of said monster type. 2] Arch-Type of the Monster breed would begin to Hunt the Player. I can imagine that Hunting a Haunting Dragur Lord, only to become engaged about the time a Vampire Lord hunting you begins his attack might be .... .Interesting. - Edited January 28, 2014 by VanKrill
zigen1111
That would be cool. Maybe you can also be hired by the priests of different shrines/churches to do some radiant quests too. (ex. clear vampire cave, hunt werewolf, etc.) Gives them some more use in game. I would love to play with that kind of mod.
VanKrill
You could also create the inverse plot line positions. i.e. Hired by the Vampire clans to act as a guard and protector of a lair, killing vampire hunters during the day, when they are weak. Escort a Wagon with the cargo of coffins shrounded in tarps, from one underground lair to another, stopping the attacks of the Vigilants of Stendar bent of killing the coven. Act as an Assassin, killing one clan of Vampires at the request of another clan of vampires who want the territory and cattle therein. -
