EgoAltar
If I had to suspect anyone in Skyrim of human trafficking, who would it be?It would have to be someone that considers everything to be for sale; the kind of person that would sell his own sister if he had one.He would even buy someone's relative- if they were willing to sell.Of course, that person would claim to only joke about such things. He'd also probably have a large, dim-witted henchman that worked for him.
FlyingHearts
Belethor! Haha, can't believe I didn't think of that myself! If this was to become a mod and it was a huge operation through Skyrim then I'd say there'd have to be one figure from each hold/city that's in the circle of the trade. draconisking
Damn why didn't I think of Nazeem and Belethor!!!Belethor, that guy won't stop saying he is willing to sell his sister, of course he is involved in human traffic. And Nazeem... Just having an actual legal reason to kill him or get him killed would be awesome! That Circle is a nice idea too. For example if the quest would go on after you get free, you would want to track down all the members of said circle, again you would have a lot of possibilities: killing him yourself, keep your hands clean and send the dark brotherhood or one of those hired thugs that don't stop annoying you, or you could ask the thieves guild to get them accused of something and have them send to jail. Some options would be unavailable for some of the circle members, for example good luck convincing the thieves guild of framing the blackbriars. Oh and who would be the buyers? I have some ideas:-Necromancers (fresh meat is always welcome)-Vampires (Same reason as above)-A group of mysterious Dunmer (to fit the lore)-One of your friends (he would have investigated your disappearance and would come to buy you free, just another way of getting out)-A group of bandits (who would have set up a secret Arena) Euh.. That's about it Oh and the friend could also show up if you managed to contact him during your imprisonment. Just some more ideas out of many. @Flying heart: If you like my ideas, I have links to some of my other (completely irrelevant) ideas in my signature. BTW I wrote the text, it's part of a novel I'm working on . BTW: You should try to rename the topic (I don't know if that is possible however. I think the actual title might let people think of those more "adult" mods, could scare away a potential modder, you never know) Edited February 2, 2014 by draconisking
FlyingHearts
Okay that's it. Someone needs to make this mod A.S.A.P!! @draconisking yes I will chage the title soon, really gotta go right now
FlyingHearts
Okay I'm back. Had to go but thank goodness for my phone. Anyway, back to the mod. So what if after you escape, you work through each hold trying to find out who's in the circle of the trade and have to seperate the rumors from true or false and present evidence to the jarl, proving they are who you think. If the jarl believes you then you have the option to kill them yourselves or let the guards take care of it. If the guards take care of it then you can pick if they die (and how so, for example the headsman axe,) or rot in jail for the rest of their lives For the Silverbloods, I'd have them rot in Cidhna mine! Mwahahahaha!!
draconisking
Oh yes the Silverbloods in Cidhna mine... Too bad one of them becomes the Jarl of Markarth if you take the city with the stormcloaks (happily he is the less evil one, he being just a stormcloak supporter), in fact that would be great because it would make it a lot more difficult to convince him. You could even say that if a Jarl won't believe you you could go talk to his Superior: Elisif or Ulfric. Elisif, being the naif and gentle jarl she normally is, would immediatly believe you until her steward, housecarl, or court mage would interfere and tell her she should leave the matter to Tulius if he is still alive. If not, she will accept and her councillers won't intervene (they don't trust Ulfric) but this would also mean that you could be wrong and that you sent an innocent to his/her death. On the other hand Brunwulf free-winter would want a full investigation done, and will dispatch some guards to help you. If Maven has become a Jarl, there is no way of convincing her of suicide, on the other hand you could (if your speech skill is high enough or if you are the guildmaster) plot against her with the thieves guild, or the Dark brotherhood (it would be the kind of contract that would make Nazir laugh out loud). Well just another couple of ideas. BTW: Maybe the 3dnpc modders would like some ideas like these, they have some real great quests.
Thiamor
I'd suggest the Slave Trade being run by the Thalmor. This way it gives them more of a role in the game, while making some sense, since you're always seeing them with prisoners. This way you can make those interactions a bit more...immersive. IE you find one and try to free him, and get knocked out from behind, and then wake up tied, following down the road just like the guy who you tried to save, until you reach your destination. Then the Slave Trading quest line begins.
jedibedead
I like the sound of this...
draconisking
@Thiamor: I personally prefer the "You crossed the wrong path" initiation, but yes why not the Thalmor (after all every dohgvakin crossed their path at least once in their game). @Jedibedead: You're not the only one. I really hope some modder will present hiself quickly, I have seen multiple request looking like this (they were kind of old however, and they probably got banned) but they weren't as devellopped and ambitious, oh and most of them belonged to the "pervert adults only" category (and by that I mean really deranged people). So I definitively prefer this idea.
puffer761
I know that feeling.Maybe you could make the quest happen on an island near Solstheim, after all just as you said the only living slavers in Tamriel are the Dunmer. However that would require the dragonborn DLC... But how would you escape during the auction, that is another thing to think about. Would be nice if there would be an alternative in which you really get sold. Then maybe you get the option of replaying the quest until you manage to get out... Could be a good idea in fact, would make the quest bith interesting and hard.how about a small hole just big enough for you to fit and at the end you can reach a chest with your gear? like in the solitude/whiterun jails? and then when you are about to be sold you have an option to fight your way out?
