Fragge
I recently started a new game, i have tribunal and bloodmoon installed. Suddenly i got attacked by the assasins, though i was only level 1 :P . I went to the city, entered the sewers, killed all of those apprentice assasins, and went towards the boss. He immediately attacked me, however he should give you a message like "How dare you enter...blablabla" first. After I kill him, morrowind opens a message, and it keeps saying the message he should tell me before, it keeps repeating it, i can't click goodbye or whatever, it just keeps giving me that message, the only thing i can do is close the game. Does anyone have an idea how i can solve this problem? I need to talk to the guy before he fights me ???
Stampede
I had the exact same problem! It was some sort of mod conflict I am sure...it seemed to happen after I installed the 'give your orders' mod...though I cannot be sure that it was that mod itself. Hmmm....thinking....thinking... I eventually disabled that guys script. Once you read the note he is carrying, it still activates the journal entry you need. I am sorry I cannot give you a better solution...it was a while ago. Switch
Try running a forum search on the man's name or part of it. I seem to remember a spike of threads about this about 6 months or so ago. It's always a good idea to run a forum search on a problem before posting about it.
Malchik
You are right Switch. It is actually a bug rather than a mod conflict. You should find suggested solutions (if any) after a search on these forums. In fact you can't talk to the guy before he attacks you. He is supposed to have a few words with his dying breath. Peregrine
If I remember right, the error comes in if you use the wrong Morrowind/Tribunal/Bloodmoon/patches order. And I think the easiest solution was to edit the offending bit of his dialogue in the CS so he doesn't get into the infinite loop.
