bloodfromastone Posted February 3, 2014 Share Posted February 3, 2014 The post counts shown to be responses to, and the post counts of the actual posts as displayed in each thread, vary (the quoted one is probably global, and the other local to the thread). It becomes impossible to follow a conversation, without opening many tabs just to see which actual post was being replied to. For example, a response to post 11547467 is post 762, and the post that it's responding to, labeled 11547467 in the post, is post 761 in the thread. But there's no way to know it was the post just above, without opening yet another tab to get a bead on it. Is there some way around this design bug? DrakeTheDragon Posted February 3, 2014 Share Posted February 3, 2014 And if you hover above the post#, you can read up the very same id the other post is linking to in the url your browser displays in the status bar.Your post for example is post #1, but its post id is 11633842, and this is the database entry id the 'reply to' line will show and use for the link.
