AncientSpaceAeon
I've got bored, so I make this. Maybe supposed to be in the Article section, but I want to make it here so I can update it everyday. And this is my opinion, and you can give me your opinion too ! So, I'm going to talk about what I think will happen, in Elder Scrolls V. You can comment or give your opinion too. And I try to update it with new posts. First of all, I want to talk about where it will be. I say the possibilites : Morrowind : The mainland is possible, but seems to be no different than Cyrodiil. If we are talking about the island (like in TES-III), I think it's not really possible, so TES V in Morrowind seems almost impossible, there are also few mods that recreate Morrowind, making ESV there going to shamed the modders. Valenwood : Densely filled with forests, means if TESV going to be there, seems like hunting all the time, without those big quests. Densely forests is not a really good thing too. But it's beautiful indeed, so it's have higher possibilities than Morrowind. Hammerfell : (From UESP), Hammerfell is a barren and rocky place, the vast Alik'r desert taking up most of it, with fertile grassland only on the coasts. As such, the major population centers are on the coastline, while the majority of the country is inhabited only by shifting sands and nomadic tribes. In the north are the Dragontail Mountains, home of the misunderstood groups of Orcs reviled by many Bretons and Redguards. Grand Canyon in my opinion, a good thing means it's like Morrowind's Island. Morrowind Island isn't as big as Cyrodiil, but because it's terrain not quite friendly, it can take sometime to move around the Island. Hammerfell is big, and it's terrain aren't quite friendly. It's quite beautiful really, really beautiful in my opinion. I found mods outside the Nexus, and it's really good. If modders can make a good land, why not Bethesda ? It's have quite possibility. High Rock : Smallest in the map, the coastal region is temperate and covered in loose forests; inland, it becomes more rocky and mountainous. I don't really know many about this place. I think that's enough, maybe continue on my next post. Comments please, and give your opinion about what will ES V looks like. And this is my opinion. jaysus
i think what will happen will be this: -only 3 quests -humans that look like woodcuts on cortison -100square yards landmass -coca cola ads on every rock -only two weapon types (melle and ranged) -only one install and you have to pay a monthly fee -will only be playable with a special controller which has 3 buttons, one red, one blue and one yellow, all 3 buttons 15inches in diameter so one cant miss em -will be produced in a chinese developement farm -will have a running banner at the lower half of the screen showing you ads of the newest bethesda, sorry zenimax "games" -no more water (its much too difficult to create a realistic one) -only one tileset to keep the recognition value up high -a cs so mods increase sales -a useless cs with 90% of the content hardcoded so DLC sell better and cant be superceeded -you will have to play todd howard -modders that change the player's character face of todd howard to arse cheeks will get perma bans on the official forums and get sued -the TOS will explicitly state that your pc and the building you play it in will be the sole property of bethesda, sorry zenisucks... etc
Alkser
Isn't this only general talk for Oblivion?
AncientSpaceAeon
Isn't this only general talk for Oblivion? There's no better place. The Lounge usually refer to something clearly off-topic. Since Oblivion is related to Elder Scrolls, this maybe the only place.
Illiad86
lol @ jaysus  I've heard that Bethesda trademarked the name "Skyrim" so I have a feeling it will be there. Haha, easy game for them to make, tons of snow and pine trees :P. It would be awesome to go the elven lands, like Valenwood and Summerset Isle. It's gonna be hard for a main questline, I think. I just don't know how they will pick up after Oblivion.
AncientSpaceAeon
I've heard that Bethesda trademarked the name "Skyrim" so I have a feeling it will be there.Well, now I'm going to talk about Skyrim if it will be on ESV. Skyrim is about almost anything like Bruma, I hope it's not all snow and no cool things. Lots of Nord, maybe it's going to be a survival game, since it's freezing out there. Maybe it's going to be pretty, or maybe just lots of snow. Snow, snow and snow maybe not really likeable to look for a long time. If Skyrim is just snow and no other, it's not a really good game. But sometimes, snow and ice can be cool, like in Modern Warfare 2http://image.com.com/gamespot/images/2009/169/951944_20090619_790screen020.jpg IF it is, great weather effects is a must for ES V. Laconic
We've already been to High Rock in Daggerfall, so I think that's out. Since Skyrim has been copyrighted I think there's a very good chance TES V will be set there. Outside of that, I'd like to see Hammerfell or the Summerset Isle. One of the things I really liked about Morrowind is that different parts of the island felt very different, culturally...the architectural style was different, the landscapes were distinct, the NPC's were distinctive, etc., and I think that the Summerset Isle and especially Hammerfell have good potential to match that sort of diversity. AncientSpaceAeon
Next part of my opinion : Cyrodiil : No need to talk about this, Oblivion located in it. Elsweyr : A great possiblity.http://tesnexus.com/downloads/images/25023-1-1245134712.jpghttp://tesnexus.com/downloads/images/25023-3-1245130578.jpgWith a mod from TESNexus, we can say that Elsweyr can be a great place for a visit. Great, but lots of Khajiits, one of the problem are Khajiits are not that cute, it's a great place. Black Marsh : Scary, Cool, Dark, Mysterious. Can be a great place for ES V, there are many informations from Black Marsh, it's possible Bethesda plan to make ES V there. It may be SI's Dementia, maybe a whole new world. Summerset Isle : From the name, it's quite a paradise. Hopes so, a good and beautiful place for ES V. Updates for Hammerfell, here's a video from youtube from a mod
Alkser
Guys didn't u thought about that Bethesda might change the whole game? I mean with new lands not that are already in Oblivion or mods (Elsweyr,Black Marsh,Valenwood,Skyrim etc..) ?
AncientSpaceAeon
Guys didn't u thought about that Bethesda might change the whole game? I mean with new lands not that are already in Oblivion or mods (Elsweyr,Black Marsh,Valenwood,Skyrim etc..) ?The highest possibility is either Akavir or a daedric realm. They couldn't include all Akavir, so maybe part of it. Or maybe Bethesda have few provinces in a single game.
