Help with my lil' mod

im a self taught modder and all i really need to know is how do i put a custom made npc into the anvil benerius manor and also how do i make sure he stays there 24/7 without moving???? if you could help me it would mean alot. also im using TES construction set. thanks :thanks:

Hmm, im not exactly sure as I never made a NPC before. But look in the objects file, look for your npc, open the interior of the Benerius Manor, (Go to world and Cell, find the interior of Bernerius manor there.) Drag the npc into the render window, anywhere in the Manor, I am not sure how to make him stay there 24/7 BUT I have a solution, make him have a burden ability for 10000 points, it will make him not be able to move. ;P

well thanks for the answer but im lookin now for how to make him stay 24/7 nd also how the *ban me* do i turn him round! haha

 

add the ai package aaaDefaultStayAtEditorLocation or something close to that. To turn him around in the CS, make sure the NPC is highlighted, right click and hold with your mouse and move your mouse to one side.

I like aaaCreatureInterior512 better. I am not sure if that other stay-put package allows him to move. You don't want him to be like a statue, which is what he would be like if he had no AI package, or if you used a wander package to a direction marker heading with a 0 radius.

 

If you are feeling ambitious, you could give him aaaEatCurrent12x2, aaaEatCurrent18x2, aaaEatCurrent8x2, or any or all of them. You could give him -1 of a food item in inventory which would mean an infinite supply. That way he wouldn't eat all the food in the house, steal food, or leave in search of food.

 

If you have adequate bedspace, you could give him aaaSleep20x8. But if you don't have bedspace, he might wander off at bedtime.

 

If he got bored always staying in one place maybe you could give him MageRead3 and a book. I haven't tested that particular package because I make my own custom packages, but it should work. If you wanted to make custom packages, you could have him do things like read, drink, do skooma, perform alchemy, practice casting spells, sweep the floor, beat the tar out of a dummy, or sit down to rest his feet.

Hi there,

 

I'm guessing you haven't made a new NPC? You've placed an already existing one whose following his AI (artificial intelligence, basically a diary of what he does, when he does it and where he does it) so what you need to do is....

 

Go to the object window, click actors, click NPC, right click the list that comes up and select New.

 

This will open up a window for you to create your character.

 

Here you can change your characters levels, spells, items and even their hair,face and eyes :D

 

Fiddle around for a bit so you get used to the controls.

 

Once you have made him give him an id name (BeneriusManorButler01 for example) then an ingame name (Just Butler for example).

 

Click OK at the bottom of the screen, now look for his ID in the npc list, drag and drop him into the cell window and your done :)

Thanks for that David but also now i need help with his dialogue. Ive placed him in the game with my own made esp and i have went to talk to him and it says I HAVE NO GREETING. so any help with this would be really helpfull.
