Feltorn Von Dentai
Alright, I've got three masive issues here that I can't fix/find any fixes for and they are driving me mad!If anyone knows how to help me out here then please say! First issue is with the "better cities" and "better, open cities" mods, I have both, I have all the files for both and I know what they should do, I tick the one I want to use off in data files and I've even double checked the meshes an textures, all seems to work ok. Except that, ya'know, it doesn't! The cities have no changes whatsoever, they arn't open, they arn't better, they arn't even slightly modified at all! Now, knowing me, I've probably done some really stupid and obviouse mistake here and everyone is reading this and shaking their heads in dismay, but I still need help damnit! :wallbash: (please note, I am not using both at once, I'm not that stupid.) Second issue is pretty recent and I have no idea why its occuring: my grass texture and apparently a few others have changed to some sort of stone texture that appears to have a rainbow-prisem reflection and doesn't tile properly. Its kind of disconcerting looking out onto the countryside and seeing what appears to be a brick wall made of very strange, identical bricks. I noticed this glitch after I uninstalled that UI mod everyone loves so dearly (the one on the top 100 list, forgot its name), which brings me to my third problem... That UI mod in the top 100 that makes your UI a lot better and whatnot? well, it certainly spruced up my menus and stuff, but it also made two strange and more-or-less gamebreaking errors to happen: The first bieng that I couldn't use my mouse on ingame menus, I had to navigate with the arrowkeys and select with "enter", this glitch also stopped me from selecting certain fairly curcial options from menus, such as "quit" :verymad: The second glitch this mod caused all the menu text to appear as big, brown, vaugly word-shaped blobs that didn't align to their buttons properly. Its a real shame because I loved everything else about this mod, but I couldn't use it the way it was.I strongly suspect this is because I used the z7 file and not the OMOD one, main reason bieng that I have no goddamn clue what OMOD is or where to get it! So, if you can help me, then I beg you to do so! These issues are driving me to my wits end and I just want them to be fixed!

These issues are driving me to my wits end and I just want them to be fixed! Going for parts. First you seems to have many unrelated issues, I'd suggest you making an Oblivion.ini backup and deleting the original letting the game building a fresh one. Look if it will correct perspectives, tiling and the such. Though possible I don't know reports from the UIs having issues like described, for sure they aways worked for me, in that case the suggestion is reinstalling it using the OMOD, what lead to the next answer: Omod is the same as the 7z mod you know. Indeed it is a 7z file with an extra folder with configurations OBMM recognizes and use to place files into the correct places, keep track of what and where it installed things so it can later remove the textures, esps and etc without pain. To use OMOD is really easy, you'll need OBMM that I hope you already do, it will do so much more than allows easy mod installing, such as easy load order changing, archive invalidation (that one is something you must try before going deeper into changing things, it is a function of OBMM ease to find and force the engine to look for the files at the most actual localization, something useful when mods are uninstalled and the game insists at looking for files at where they were and not the vanilla ones on the BSA). Summaring: Grab the OBMM utility if you don't have it... place the OMOD files into the correct folder (follow OBMM documentation) or just add it navigating to whatever place the omod is from the OBMM 'add' feature. Some mods will use the scripting functions from OBMM so to allow choices about what to install and mod configurations, something that UI mod do use with virtuosity. You may be surprised with so many choices by chance you didn't know when installing it. Once OBMM knows about the omod it will show up at the right window and will be colored second potential conflicts. Even if it id red you may activate it, if you know the conflicts are to be expected, and once you 'activate' it, the esp, textures and all the files will be placed correctly as you did it by hand, and the marker will turn 'blue'... the esp probably is already ticked and the mod is ready to use. MikeHibs
For your 1st problem.I would make sure that it is activated.I would also download Oblivion Mod Manager (OMM) so that you can easily test for conflicts. Those mods might also require another mod to work properly. And i'm not familiar with the mod in the second problem. So, i can't help you there.
Feltorn Von Dentai
It IS activated, and what other mod could it possibly need? It doesn't say it needs any others/ Anyway, thanks for the OMOD info, I'll give it a go.

It doesn't say it needs any others/ Anyway, thanks for the OMOD info, I'll give it a go.I forgot to tell in the former post. For Mods that modifies the same things (like that ones about cities may do) the install order is very important, if you delete one of them you MUST reinstall the other, even if their ESPs exist yet. It'll grant the textures, meshes and the like will be the ones expected.
Feltorn Von Dentai
Well, I got OMOD and the UI mod working, but my ground texture is still stuffed, turns out the ground texture has actually changed to the worldmap image! (you know, the image you see when you want to fast travel) and better cities is still not working, despite me having taken all the advice given.
