mrpyromania
I recently bought Battlefield 2, and got a much needed upgrade. But Battlefield 2 takes forever to load a server once I choose to join it. Sometimes I have to wait 5-10 minutes to load, and sometimes it doesn't even load at all. And the sound also will randomly stop working sometimes. My current specs: 512MB RAMRADEON 9600 SERIESC-Media Wave DeviceProcessor:AMD Athalon Xp, ~1.2GHz BF2 is a good game, and I try and get on the Gamingsource server went it isn't full(Screen name is GunGeezer). But the super duper loadtimes are kinda frustrating.
Dark0ne
Your system is below standards for today's games. Your processor is slow and your video card isn't really up to spec. The biggest cost : performance hardware you could buy would probably be another 512MB stick of RAM.
Zniky
Would have to agree with Dark0ne that your system is below the standards for the newer games. I get quite long loading times even with my current gaming rig that is nearly top of the line (usually go for a cuppa coffee while it loads :P ). I dread to think what it would be like with a system that barely meets the minium required specs. But getting another 512 stick of RAM would probably take off a good 1/3 of your loading time. As for sound coming and going make sure your soundcard drivers are up to date.
mrpyromania
Thanks for the suggestions, I'll look into getting another stick of 512.
