Animation guide link anyone?

Hello, Im beginning to learn about modding a bit at a time. I learned most of how to texture, but what I really want to do is learn how to make animation mods. Does anyone have a link they would like to share that has a guide for it? I tried one before on the construction wiki....but I'm lost with that guide.

 

Keep in mind I'm a complete newbie to this sort of thing, so the simpler the guide, the better. I understand that animations are extremely complicated, but any help offered would be appreciated.

Thank you! By animations I mean player animations. I'm reading that it says object animations or something, but will this also teach me character animations? Things that the player do I mean.

 

Edit: Well the guide I was given is..far too vague for me. It doesn't seem to tell me what files to open, rather just tells me what to find in this "mystery file". If anyone can give me a link to another guide, or can elaborate on the one posted above...that would be appreciated. Preferably one that teaches how to create character animations, such as DMC stylish.
