YeoKun
Whilst playing Fallout 3 I stumbled across a newer mod for Fallout 3 that allowed the player to create, manage, and develop their own village. It was called RTS - Real Time Settler. Now with that mod you start off where ever you'd like and they have a mini tutorial to teach you on how to use it. Things I think the Oblivion one should have... Villager Jobs. Builder: Used to build selected buildings, and repair(possibly after bandit attacks). Craftsman: Used to create items like chairs, beds, containers, defense I.E.(sand bags, walls, ect), weapons(in FO3 it's guns but can be used to make swords, bows, ect), and armor. Scavenger: Used to go out and collect building supplies, item creation supplies, and food. Farmer: Assignable once a farm has been built, is used to produce more food than the Scavengers can find. Solider: Assignable once a Barracks has been built. Buildings/Structures that could be useful in Oblivion.-Each building would be have it's own options (homes used to recruit villagers, barracks to recruit and assign armor weapons to soldiers, ect.) Castle, walls, guard towers, barracks, training grounds, wells, market(s) (Can be broken down into individual buildings I.E. Blacksmith, General Goods, Potions, ect), homes, guilds, farms, or mages guild(or something similar so the player can create spells and potions). Items for the Player Item or place player can check village stats(trade routes, happiness, Food found/produced vs consumption, ect), a place where the player can start projects for building, a place where the player can swap out villagers jobs. Optional Items Bandit attacks, Lord/Other Village interactions, flag or color choices, or tax. Just things off the top of my head things can defiantly be added, changed removed. Just think something like this in Oblivion would be fun. Now the building was all setup using project items and a "Hot Key" item. You used the project, then hotkey the "Hot Key" item. Press the hotkey and then the project would appear before the player, and to position it you would just look around and press the hotkey again for options once you get it setup the way you want. Preview, start building, cancel building, rotate, ect. It would then put some random construction items there and the builders would walk to it and start raking building ect(might need custom animations) and it'd finish after a few days or you could rush it by paying money. Same applies to the items only not sure how you'd make that look for making the items, might just have the crafters walk around randomly. But yeah anywho ideas suggestions lol Someone to mod this. -YeoKun
Khet
Not entirely what you're asking but I'm already working on a similar project. Helping a town grow from concept to reality, watching each building be constructed.

Cassial
I thoroughly enjoyed the RTS mode in Fallout, even though it was rather unfinished. I'd love something somewhat similar in Oblivion. Even if you can only build in a set spot, I would enjoy it.
