Oblivion, it will be a challenge for modders with.

The game looks so good. You don't want to walk in someones armors made with the quality of morrowind when playing oblivion right? The modders will have a harder time creating good looking armors and stuff, so it won't look weird against the real oblivion stuff..

It's a challenge. Not one for me to accept. Anyone thinks it will be harder?

Well, I don't know much about 3D modelling, but I don't think it'd be much harder. With the quality of models you can create in programs like 3DSMax I would think you'd be able to blend things in with Oblivion well enough. You'd just reduce the quality less than you did with Morrowind.

I'm just guessing here though. *Waits for Peregrine to show up* :D

Yes and no. Yes, making new models for Oblivion will be harder. I've seen people get away with stuff for Morrowind that is absolutely pathetic. But if they try that with Oblivion, it'll be a lot more obvious how low-detail their work is. So people will have to put more effort into it, which might be hard for some of the low-end modelers.

On the other hand, it'll also be a lot easier. Oblivion's superior engine means higher poly counts, better materials, etc. We'll actually be able to do these things instead of trying to over-simplify it all to work in an obsolete game.

So I guess it depends on your skill level. If you're just barely able to match Morrowind's level of quality, you'll probably find Oblivion a serious challenge. If you're better than that and have no problem making higher-quality work, you won't even notice the transition.
