chucksteel
The only reason I even installed windows on my Mac was to play Beth games. I knew nothing about windows at the time being a mac guy and the person at the computer store at the time said if i have a good system to get vista because it is close to Mac OS. I've been playing Beth games on a Bootcamp partition on my Mac ever since but have hated Vista with a passion! I tried a demo version of Crossover which if you don't know it is the payed version of Wine which allows Mac users to run windows apps. (I'm not posting a link to it because I don't mean this to be a Advertisement but something to help Mac users that want to play more PC games) So far I've only tested a few of my Steam games with it but the results have been so exciting I picked up the retail version because wine can be overly complicated to use if you try to run the Freeware version. What I have tested Fallout 1 Fallout 2 Fallout Tactics Fallout 3 Fallout 3 GECK Fallout New Vegas Fallout New Vegas GECK Nifscope All of which Played as well if not better then they did on my Bootcamp Windows Vista 32 partition. 9. Wasteland 2 Had some issues but I'm not sure if it is Crossover or the fact that it is an early release version because I also had crashes with it while running it under windows vista. I still have to test a bunch more of my PC games to see if they play with Crossover on my Mac but my hopes are high. There is also a version of Blender and Blenders Nif tools for mac, which means you'll fully be able to mod and make mods for your Beth games. Note: the only mod Manager that works with Crossover or Wine is Mod Organizer. This is not a bad thing it seems to work well, You just can't use NMM or FOMM which is a bit of a drag because I was used to using them and Mod Organizer is new with a little learning curve. (Again not a bad curve but it's just not what I've been using. I hope this helps someone like me who was frustrated having to reboot in Bootcamp to play there games. I will update when I test more of my games. Edited February 15, 2014 by chucksteel
Rennn
Not to detract from this, but Vista is widely considered the worst OS of the last decade. :3Even Windows 8 is at least good for tablets... Vista isn't good for anything.
JimboUK
Vista was terrible, it makes 8 look good, that's how bad it was. Windows 7 with Bootcamp would be a good option, it's the best of both worlds.
