it does but try hooking it up to a reciever, it wont work. i have tried several cards in the past and same deal, only 2.1. Its a glitch in the firmware. Edited July 29, 2012 by Thor.

I need to upgrade my speakers before even worrying about stuff like this. I have a little set of stereo speakers with a sub-woofer, and the sub-woofer doesn't even work. :(

I think the Source has something like that at amazon, Source took over Radioshack here in Canada, sad but true.

I do have it on a 5.1 receiver, but it's not actually getting 5.1 out, it's Prologic.

Same its 7.1 and Dolby prologic, pro Logic 2 zx actually which is 5.1 or as far it can go is 9.1. Depending on your setup.

 

Prologic is just a format like thx.

It's a Sony 5.1 receiver (old, right before the 7.1 craze).

Radioshack is a depressing place to go to down here. They pretty much only have cell phones and cables that you already have 10 of. Every time I go there I have hope that there will be the odd connector or weird Japanese cable I need, but alas earwax. :mellow:
