The Coolest Bad Guy?

Arthas Menethil is the coolest bad guy in my opinion.

Is that the Lich King from W.O.W.?

It is.

Arthas isn't a standout antagonist, in my opinion. He doesn't have anything to differentiate himself from the countless "good guy gone bad" personas.

I don't know about the "good guy gone bad" thing, but I loved the Lich King's armor. It's so cool.

Id have to say that one of my favorites is Riddick

I love the opening words of the Chronicles of Riddick

"In normal times, evil would be fought by good. But in times like these, well, it should be fought by another kind of evil"

Riddick is just a badass.

"Furyans. Defiant to the End"

I agree, what about his lines for COR: AODA, "The Darkness, for me.. Is where I shine".

He slots in next to Alex Mercer and Agent 47

Dr. Weird, paranoid and crazy with the biggest grin ever. It's the guy in my picture. I invented him, he's in my comic I'm writing :P

Oh, and Anub-Arakh from Warcraft 3 and WOW.

It was the Maintenance man! He knows I like Orange----It gave me lemon lime.

MY coolest bad-guy... meaning ones that I've created (old-school roleplaying games)...

From a Pirate/Swashbuckler campaign set in a polynesian-flavored island archipelago... two memorable villains.

1. The Wizard of Emerald Keep - powerful advisor and ally of the Empire of Calesh, has lived in his green-crystal castle along the rocky coast of the continent for longer than anyone can remember. Pleasant enough when met, he provides the party with several missions and some snazzy equipment... turns out his existance is artificially maintained (Lich), and he's collecting an army of mid-level adventurers, keeping them in suspended animation in his basement, waiting for the right time to make his move.

2. The Fireman - moderately powerful pirate leader in the islands, known for making daring raids and never taking prisoners. Keeps his face wrapped in bandages, supposedly to hide some hideous scarring. Is actually a former gawd, Cupid... revealing his face to his captives causes them all to fall hopelessly in love with him... does this with selected captives when new crewmembers are needed.

Sure, neither one had the full-out cackling evil of...say...Emperor Palpatine, but both were complete sociopaths... immortality can create some interesting possible mind-sets.

VERY cool bad guys Bean. They sound like perfect scenarios for a DnD game. Is that how you created them? I especially like the first one.

I agree. His story was pretty standard.

Im not even sure Arthas is still even Arthas after he made it to Ice Crown in Warcraft III: Frozen Throne

He released Ner'Zul from his ice prison and I guess became a vessel for the Lich King.

Not entirely sure.
