Arthas Menethil is the coolest bad guy in my opinion.

Is that the Lich King from W.O.W.?

It is.

Arthas isn't a standout antagonist, in my opinion. He doesn't have anything to differentiate himself from the countless "good guy gone bad" personas.

I agree. His story was pretty standard.

Im not even sure Arthas is still even Arthas after he made it to Ice Crown in Warcraft III: Frozen Throne

He released Ner'Zul from his ice prison and I guess became a vessel for the Lich King.

Not entirely sure.

Technically, I believe it's a combination of the two, but it's just easier to refer to him as Arthas.

Wasn't it his sword that corrupted him into the Lich king? Or was it his crown? Not really sure, I'm not a big fan of WOW so the lore isn't my strong point.

His sword, "Frostmourne". Originally planned for doing good things, too bad the sword itself is evil. (I'm so proud the guy in my sig is discussed alot)

My list of awesome evil guys will go on farther than the earth around the sun, but here is a sample.

Darth Vader. Classic bad guy, black glothes, cape, shiny helmet, heartless.

Joker.

Dagoth Ur. A bit on the mad side, speaks to you like you are his best friend. You know you were half-inclined to join him. It's his long hair.

Jason Isaacs and his many, many villians. Pulled them off each time. Long haired Middle-aged man of course. *drools*

Prince Nuada. Long Hair, Middle-aged. But the movie he was in sucked.

Agent Smith. Long Hair, Middle-aged...oh wait, wrong movie, but you know what I mean.

Darth Vader. The Darth Vader that was only interested in finding out, "What have you done with the plans..." and would choke the crap out of a guy because "I find your lack of faith Disturbing." Darth Vader as he existed in my mind from the three good Star Wars films.

Not Anakin Skywalker/Darth Vader (he was a whiny little *kittie kittie*), But Darth Vader as he was before George Lucas poisoned pop culture and Star Wars with his "Prequels".

I'm gonna have to say Darth Maul. Complete compliance with any orders.

Plus, he uses a Staff Lightsaber which I think is bad---! :D

I know exactly what you mean. Episode One wasn't exactly fantastic, but Anakins part in Episodes 2 and 3 had me itching to jump through the screen and slap him for being a whiny little bi***. Also, you just can't top the James Earl Jones' voice of evil bad-assness.
