Baldy
My mouse freezes up in about 4 to 5 minutes into a game. What would cause this to happen? I sometimes let it sit for five or minutes to see if the computer catches up to the spot in the game I have the problem;but to no avail. My cpu is a Athlon 64 processor with BTG nvidia geforce 9600 GT, Creative SB X-FI,logitech GH15 keyboard, logitech G5 mouse, and a Samsung synmaster P2070/P2070G(Digital). I have all the drivers updated .
AncientSpaceAeon
It's freezes when you are playing the game right ? Try quitting the game, and see if your mouse is not freezing again or still freezing. (quitting by pressing Ctrl, Alt, Delete)
Eshenaleros
if the keyboard is still working, then press escape. whenever my mouse stops working bringing up the escape menu seems to make it work again. If the keyboard stops working as well, then I'm sorry, I can't help you

Baldy
I erased the mods ,then I redid Oblivion,Knights ,Shivering Isles, and the official plug ins except the fighters stronghold. I then I tried it again. The mouse and game froze when I was talking the emperor. The funniest thing happen before I erased the game was when I trying the game with the mods the only kept the body mods and some armor and clothing mods. Every time I talk to some of the characters it was like they were talking in a echo chamber. As the saying that was used when I was in High School from the mid 60s Weird Man weird. Qwaxalot
You may be having a problem with background processes. A Clean boot (a totally reversible process) can help by clearing all unneeded processes, then test the game. If the game now runs better, you can use task manager to locate offending processes. After Looking Online I Tried Something, I Didnt Load Anything except Oblivion and shut everything else down, then i took out the music from teh music directory and started a new game. I beat it without having anything freeze. usually its the other mods that when u come across too many that change too many things it adds too much. Way more than the pc can handle so thats how i fixed it.
