Help With Getting My Game to Run at a Higher FPS Rate

Hey guys! So I have a fairly decent computer...

GPU: GeForce GTX 770

CPU: Intel Core i7-4770K CPU @ 3.50GHZ

Memory: 16.00 GB RAM (15.94 GB usable)

Driver version: 334.98

and windows 7!

 

however I only run at around 20-30 FPS on average. Now I do run a lot of mods but I feel like there are some compatibility issues or something I can do to raise my FPS. If you guys could help that'd be amazing! Thanks!

You could try disabling the 120 mods you have,, just saying

First of its not the 120 mods I have more than that on a way worse pc and I'm getting about the same fps as you are. Second try removing Real Clouds and Supreme Fog both of those are insanely performance heavy.

Artificial I just want to say thanks for the way you handled that! Made me actually laugh! Second yeah I've tried that and the FPS goes up a little bit but I just feel like considering my rig is as good as it is I should be able to get more FPS out of this machine! Once again thanks man!

At it's slowest my game can even run around 20fps and I've seen rigs the same or a little older than mine which run more mods and have better FPS...it's not crucial. I mean I'll still play but I would love a faster frame rate!

erm yeah, sorry man i have no clue... I'm running 200+ mods atm and im getting 55+ outdoors, 70-80 indoors.

 

Do you have any really taxing ENB's running? I personally use realvision (http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/30936/?)

Realistically, you don't need a frame rate much higher than 20-30. Granted, things run a bit more smoothly when getting ~45 fps, but anything higher than 60 is a bad thing: without a frame-limiter (which caps your fps at 60 anyways), those higher frame-rates actually speed up game time, like an acceleration button that cannot be controlled.

Without ENB effects active, my frame-rate was clocked at around 150-170, when in reality it was capped at 60. With the ENB effects enabled, my frame-rate drops to around 14-30 fps. I notice no significant visual differences, other than the occasional "hiccup" when moving to a new (not previously explored) exterior cell (which is caused by the large quantity of grass introduced by SFO, and not directly linked to frame-rate anyways).

Michael I use the same enb (realvision). The main problem I have is loading. Like if I walk outside and do a 360 spin it hiccups a LOT. Which may and probably is just a side affect of so many grass and tree and terrain mods but still. I'm looking to reduce it.

Maybe you could try disabling the ENB? Those are really bad for performance, so maybe you could test how the game runs without it.
