kaam14
Yeah I did...even on that my frame rate dropped a little still and the grass looked a little flat in comparison. Oh well XD
camaro_69_327
look Closely at the Graph you posted....in particular the Green line at the top. you have over done the GPU! The GPU is scrambling to keep up, I would not be surprised if the GPU was actually trying to load another .5 - 1 GB of textures. If true then it is Swapping textures back and forth to the Disk! Google for "Process Explorer" on that programs GPU tab you CAN see if the GPU is using system memory, if it is, you will have to cut back on textures till you have AT least 250 MB of headroom . If you don't you wont see better FPS. You will continue getting stutter. In your ENB INI turn off DOF see if that helps. Also in the ENB INI is FPS limiter..is it set low?? PIC 58 FPS 2.5+ GB on SLI 580's PIC Process Explorer showing 9.0 GB of ram in use!! Idle is 2.8 after close Skyrim is back to 2.8 I have HALF the mods you do , i do have the Official HD DLC textures and the Second my Game loads i am using 6+ GB system RAM and 2.5 GB on the GPU. I built this to run Skyrim years ago and its just now starting to get a workout!!! Love the Memory patch. Skyrim also uses all 8 threads of my CPU (4 Core). Jognt
As camaro said, your vRAM is kinda full. What happens if this is the issue is random stutters when moving around while it's swapping textures from system ram to vRAM.Also, your GPU load% is also pretty high which indicates your asking a lot of your GPU. Are you using Anti Aliasing or Ambient Occlusion? Both have a drastic impact on vRAM and GPU usage. To rule out mods I would make a note of the mods you have installed, backup your savegames, temporarily remove ALL mods, temporarily remove your savegames, and start a new game. You should get way lower vRAM and GPU usage on the vanilla game. If FPS is back to normal levels (capped at 60 most likely) then you know the combination of mods and your system are bottlenecking. If you still get low performance, there might be something else going on, I would attempt a clean Skyrim install to check for software problems in the game itself, and I would check your system temperatures to make sure your hardware isn't busy throttling down because of high thermal loads. However, if the game runs fine without mods, reinstall your mods a few at a time and see when performance drops. high resolution (4k) textures are a good way to fill your vRAM quickly and improved models (SMIM and the like) are a good way to tax your GPU load%. To lower vRAM usage:- Switch 4k textures to 2k textures;- Disable or lower Anti Aliasing;- Disable or lower Ambient Occlusion;- Disable ENBoost2; To lower GPU usage:- Switch to lower polygon models;- Disable or lower Anti Aliasing;- Disable or lower Ambient Occlusion; Important notes:1. Please note that if you're using a higher uGridsToLoad value this will drastically increase the load on your video card because it needs to load more textures and models. If you're using an increased uGridsToLoad value, first try lowering it to the default 5 and see if that improves performance for you. See the "Stable uGridsToLoad" mod for lowering this value on an exisiting savegame. 2. Disabling ENBoost will cause higher system RAM usage and may cause instability if you go over 2.8GB towards the 3.1GB limit for the tesv.exe process. However, if you find that (like me) your tesv.exe uses under 2.5GB without ENBoost, you will find that disabling it will lower vRAM usage quite a bit. 3. Make sure you are using the SSME memory patch (or when it gets released the 1.70 version of SKSE) to reduce the chance of CTD's from Skyrims Built In memory management. I hope this helps, if it doesn't, let me know and I'll go a bit deeper . My Skyrim runs fine with 4x AA, 4x SGSSAA, uGrids@5, 2k textures, several model mods. Stays over 60 FPS most of the time on 2x GTX670 SLI. I found I am mostly limited by my 2GB vRAM since GPU load hovers around 60% most of the time. ZeketheGeek
Read initial post only, this is what I suggest to everyone with Nvidia cards or ENBs:Check out the Skyrim Beautification Project's website, look at their config files for Skyrim.ini and Skyrimprefs.ini, and also the Nividia Control panel settings for Skyrim/skse they list. The possible reason you get lowish frames is that you might have Bethesda's graphics options on, while also having ENB on. I run a GTX 660 in my rig, and I too use Realvision (along with like 20 4k res mods), and after tweaking my inis like they suggest, I went from 30 FPS to a solid 60 FPS. This is because the ENB is processing the effects with my card, not the game PLUS the ENB.
kaam14
So there is one problem. When I fast travel long distances I crash :/ its a fairly minor problem but if I could get it to stop that'd be great XD By the way Zeke thank you again for the advice! That's also probably due to overfilling your VRAM. That can cause it to CTD when it loads a whole new area.As others have said, you need to lose some effects or textures until you stop overfilling your VRAM. kaam14
But how is that possible? I just tweaked the ini settings and now I get at lowest 39 fps, 50s in most areas, and no hiccups or lags. I can travel half way across skyrim and I'm fine but all the way and I CTD. If it indeed is a full VRAM then the only problem is a ctd when I fast travel far. That being said I did check my VRAM usage when playing earlier and it wasn't maxed..,

I believe there's a workaround for that, probably called SSME or something.

kaam14
ok so update! I can get anywhere fast traveling now but if I wait like an hour or even try to move too quickly I crash :/ this is bugging me because I even just reinstalled the 4GB memory patch
