Trouble with Oblivion

fine, everything semed to work OK - BUT - the big problem is now,can I:

 

1. get scrolls or ptotions where I need them.
   
2. get an automatic backup if I close the game?
   
3. can I save on after rest rather than just befroe rest
   

 

As I am trying to do 3 things at once (2 mods and the game) you will realise my problems! Can anyone please help?

I fail to understand what your asking!

yes you can get scrolls and potions...why not?

you have to have a second drive or back up drive I believe

Potions and scrolls can be bought at stores and looted from bodies and dungeons. If that is not good enough for you, you can use console commands to obtain more, or make a mod that has scrolls and potions. (Like you might put a huge respawning chest full of potions and scrolls in your favorite house.)

 

I don't think that the basic game has the auto-save options you are talking about. You can manually save as often as you want. It is good to have multiple savegames for one character in case one gets corrupted.

I'm not too worried about the potions and scrolls - I acn easily get around that problem, but if the game crashes (CTD), it would be helpful to have an automatic save on close. That way, when i re-start the game, I would NOT have to repeat sections where for one reason or another i had been unable to save/

 

As for the save after resting, rather than save before resting, this is a similar idea, and is also an idea to get around CTD.
