charlottenoyen
Pretty much that. When I change settings in-game (subtitles and mouse sensitivity specifically) they reset back to default the next time I load the game. It may be worth mentioning that I recently had a problem with every single folder on my PC being set to read-only, but that's been solved and I double-checked: no game files and ini files are set to read-only. Still, the problem did crop up around that time. Other than that I have no idea why this is happening, because it worked fine earlier. Any ideas on what to do? MotoSxorpio
Did you set the right INIs? "My Documents\My Games\Skyrim" is the location of the INIs that the game will load from, with in certain instances an INI in one's "~Skyrim\Data" folder when a mod calls for INI tweaks. The Skyrim_default.ini should not be edited, as this is the template for quality tuning from Skyrim Launcher.
charlottenoyen
I use Mod Organizer to fiddle with ini files for the game, so they should be okay. Never touched ini files outside the "My Games\Skyrim" folder.
