llliquid
Hello, I am on XBOX and am trying to become redoran hortator but it says I killed a someone (a councillor I'm assuming) and therefore they won't accept me. I never received a "you killed someone you shouldn't have warning" Is there anyway around this ? Any save game I might have before the killing was a LONG time ago. Please help! Switch
You only get the "you killed someone you shouldn't have" warning usually when you kill a main quest related character. It doesn't do that with normal quests. If you killed a councillor then there's nothing you can do besides revert to an earlier save. There's no console to fix things on XBox... batesmotel34
If worse comes to worse, I believe the back door solution to solving the main quest will still work which bypasses the requirement to become hortator and nervearine. You should be able to find details on that in Spoilers if you search for it.
Marxist ßastard
Although it's an option, the backdoor method is a little drastic for use in this scenario -- it's meant for situations where it's impossible to get past the third trial or where the Patriarch is dead. Continue this portion of the main quest and pick up whatever work you can find on the side; once you have a ludicrous amount of reputation (100 or greater), the Patriarch will speak with you based on what you've done for the people of Vvardenfell. llliquid
Thanks for your quick responses. {note possible spoiler} Is the back door method the kill vivec and take item method? Does this actually work? Just don't want to waste valuable time playing a (great) game that can't be beat. Thanks again
Malchik
It works. Your health has to be substantial so you can only do it if your level is high enough.
llliquid
Great! After months away from the game I'm back in it. Thank you! Funniest thing happened today I finished a guest at the Ebonheart docks today and walked out a door and landed not on the walkway but plunged in to the water. Turns out the whole Ebonheart dock, buildings and land have dissapeared, even the NPCs are swimming around in the water. Fortunately I was able to find the boat captain in the water and got out of there. odd, wonder if it will still be gone next visit there.
