Final Fantasy: Advent Children

Has anyone seen this film? The English version is meant to be coming out soon and I really enjoyed the Japanese subbed version, way better than Spirits Within.

Detest the games, loved the film. Interesting.

Is it made with the same engine (or whatever the jargon is for CGI film graphics) as Spirits Within? I'm not a Final Fantasy player at all, it sort of passed me by, but the film was a fairly entertaining watch even if you did shut off your brain to enjoy it. I gather it had little to do with FF at all (no enormous Pokemon-inspiring creatures and a lack of Japanese manga hairstyles was the giveaway) but I'd really like to see it, especially if this new film is as pretty as Spirits Within.

Is it coming out in cinema or just DVD?

The graphics are practically the same in comparison, but compared to Spirits Within which WASN'T really anything to do with Final Fantasy, this new film is called "Final Fantasy 7: Advent Children" and takes place 2 years after the ending of Final Fantasy 7. I've never played the Final Fantasy games for longer than 5 minutes, but fans of the game have sworn by the greatness of this film.

I definately enjoyed the film, I simply find the imagery awe-inspiring.

As far as I know it's a DVD release only.
