BababooeyHTJ
I am new to Fallout modding and Oblivion modding for that matter. I just installed a few mods and made up the load order but I'm sure that there is something wrong. I could really use some opionions on this load order. I'm sorry for any misspellings and/or bad grammer but it's late and I'm pretty tired. Anyways thanks in advance. Wandik
why do you think there is something wrong? :) only things i would change is loading GNR mod before FOOK.esp, and downloading UF3P - the unofficial should go as first esp file in load order... I was using a similar load order and was having a couple of conflicts, mostly with Armor. I wasn't using the GNR, sprint, and UPP mods and was loading WMK mods after MMM.esp, though. I'll download the UF3P and load that first and the GNR mod after FOOK, thanks. I'm also thinking of using Fellout. Where do you think that I should load that? :thanks: I just clicked the link in your sig. Good stuff. BababooeyHTJ
I am getting some pretty severe slowdowns that I defenetly don't see with the vanilla version. I uninstalled the Terrain, rocks, Megaton, and Rivit City texture packs and it helped but my framerates still dip down lower than they should. I think that there may be a video memory leak since I was following some enclave outcasts while looking over a pretty open distance when suddenly my framerates dipped below 20fps and stayed there so I ALt-TAbed out and back into the game and suddenly I was seeing 60fps again and it took a minute or two to see another slowdown. Sadly the "memory leak" is a wild guess since I have had the game stop responding after I fell off of a bridge and died and the game stopped responding while loading up a save. I also just had a crash on exit. I am running a Q9650 at 3.825ghz, 4x2gb DDR2 at 1066mhz on a P5Q Deluxe and a GTX280. I have pulled my overclocks and that acctually seems to make things worse so. I'm lost as to what to do.
Wandik
i'm not sure, but some mods do have warning in readme about possible slowdown - i would point to MMM, and all large mods in general in this situation - most big mods are heavily scripted, and add lots of high quality stuff - this means much more load for your hardware as in vanilla... memory leaks are hard to solve - there are some or plenty in vanilla too, maybe your framerate decreased significantly because of entering new area with possible leak, and are not caused by mods only... watching for leaks is not easy, never tried it myself, but teoretically you should use some process monitoring tool to watch fallout3.exe process while playing - best practise is to use second monitor here :) to the order - looks good :) i'm playing with very similar one (besides testing FOOK2 beta :) ) with old FWE, some armor and weaps visual replacement mods, and rain and snow mod loaded before fellout :) oh, and phalanx too :D
