Evolutionarypoo
I am trying to mod a specific texture, is there a console command to show the name of the texture used on the object I am pointing at? If not what is the best way to identify specific textures for specific objects. Thanks in advance!
myztikrice
I look at the first two characters to see which mod it's from, then load it in TES5Edit and do a Form ID search for it, which shows me the nif file associated with the object. Then I open it with Nifscope and look at its BSLightingShaderProperty > BSShaderTextureSet to see what texture is assigned to it. What do you mean by "look at first two characters"? Do you use a command to bring up information or something about a specific object in game? lazyskeever
Alternatively you could just open the Creation Kit, go to the cell where you know the object in question is, then you can click on it there and get the relevant information about where the nif is.
