Mine Pillow Book

Thank you Maharg, I partially wrote this just to help myself and then decided it might be nice to post it up so others could see and hopefully understand what we go through. The hardest thing for me has been the fact that most people who live around me don't seem to understand this condition and are not that supportive or are down right repressive about it. The really interesting thing is that the initial attack of depression that changed my diagnosis happened at work, were I was found curled in a ball and self harming, didn't end up in me losing my job especially since I am working at a stable.

It´s just great how openly you share your thoghts/life here.

You´r very good at describing your situation.

I got my diagnose late in life, but have had the desease since I was a teen. I have lost both jobs and friends on that account. After I got the diagnose, I came to a point thinking that I could/would not hide anything anymore. I did not loose any friends by that, since it was the best and most loyal that had stayed. I even was able to be more social, get more friends, by taking it out in the open.

I do not introduce myself as "Hello I`m Balagor, I´m bipolar, what´s your name", but if any conversation is going toward the subject, I will not hesitate to tell about my own desease.

Thank you Balagor, I admit that I say all this here because there are people like you and Maharg who lend an ear and are happy to discuss this sort of thing and also because everyone seems friendly and this site has a friendly atmosphere to it. :thanks:

There is a pleasant field with grass all tall,

glinting golden in the sun.

The wind catches and makes it wave,

this knee high sea.

Reds and blues sweep across that field,

as if painted by some giants hand.

Hints of green flash through out,

as a breeze sneaks by.

Birds loop and swoop in the sky,

their cheerful singing fills the air.

Butterflies flit among the blooms abundant,

all in that pleasant field.

Life, the Universe and everything,

Awesome concepts,

Mind boggling concepts.

Is the answer to that great question 42?

Can we explain,

can we not.

Philosophers argue, bamboozle and question.

But what is the question anyway?

We are what we are

but just what is that?

We are what we do and do not do?

but can we know the limits or true effects of our action - inaction?

We think, we feel, we express ourselves

but how do we know the extent of such things?

I can not sleep, I can not hide,

Sins of others burdens me deep.

The pillow is wet from tears and sweat,

I roll from side to side.

For injustice keeps me awake all night.

Sins that took all light of life.

Lies that stretch a millennium wide.

Dark passages of regrets I run along.

What keeps me going? Do I have still some pride?

No, injustice keeps me awake all night.

Pain and fear are with me now.

The dawn breaks light is coming soon.

As I roll and roll in my bed of doom.

Can this not end, I can not stand it,

Got it! injustice keeps me awake all night.

I have not slept, I have not dreamed.

The horizons marshaling dawns light.

As I reason with ghosts of past with all my might.

I'm awake and have a gloomy mood but still I'm tired.

Alas, injustice keeps me awake all night.

Every night the same process.

Every night the jury of mine

Every night the pain of time

It goes on an on and does not stop.

Powerless, injustice kept me awake all night.

I know not a very good and rounded poem. I thought may be someone likes it.
