alienzerox
it is a matter of personal preference .. like I wouldn't even consider Project Nevada because it make the game into a FPS clone akin to Deus Ex and yes I did use it before but once was enough ... but if you are talking essential then, Unified Hud, Weapon Mod Menu, Mod Config Menu, OHud, Darnified UI (for smaller fonts), Flashlight, NVSE, NMC Textures, PocoBeuno, Weapons of the New Millenia, All of Gophers stuff & NVEC
RoyBatterian
Additionally I'll add Mod Configuration Menu, Improved Automatic Ironsight Animations, Interior Lighting Overhaul, More Perks, Weapon Retexture Project+Bugfix, Realistic Wasteland Lighting Overhaul, Electro City, AWOP, New Vegas Bounties I+II, Weapon Stat Viewer, Weapon Mods Expanded, The Weapon Mod Menu, The Inheritance, EVE, Afterschool Special+Sortomatic, NV Interiors Project and FOV Slider (shameless plug). BTW Bounties I & II is included in NVEC and DEIMOS is also ( I just finished it, the ending was so sad ) Edited March 6, 2014 by alienzerox
Mishaxhi
YUP does everything MMUE does but better, plus it doesn't add anything, it's purely bugfixes. Also I wouldn't recommend NVEC at this point as it tends to be incompatible with a ton of stuff, and if you wanna play someguys mods, you're best off using the someguyseries esp and the standalone mods rather than NVEC. RoyBatterian
I don't like NVEC and wouldn't recommend it at all. It's tailored for one person's taste far too much. I'd prefer if the author just made compatibility patches, there are many mods in it I just don't care to use. Personally I like Project Nevada too, but I know lots of people don't... so I left it out.
