OBSE v0017b causing freezes when opening menu

So after rebooting my computer yesterday, I started up oblivion and all of the sudden whenever I load OBSE and in game press tab to menu, the game freezes and I have to close it through task manager. Every time. Anyone know what causes this? I'm also on the latest patch, with SI. BTW, i'm running limited mods and it always worked before so I doubt they have anything to do with it, but who knows- here's what i use:

Keychain

Exnem's Bodies

Vanilla Armor for Exnem's bodies

Natural Weather Mod

Ren's Beauty Pack

Thanks in advance.

Keychain, I had this issue too and traced down to it. For a while it's disabled until the issue is corrected. Sad because it is an useful mod and did not had this issue before the v5 and I'm sure it will be corrected soon and I'll gladly use it again.

There is a risk you loses the keys if just disabling it, so verify your inventory for 'key' keys before saving the game again and to be in the sure side, save your actual game (before disabling) with a significant name using the console command:

savegame "MyGameName"

disable the mod, verify the inventory and if the keys are there, save again as normal.

PS: Albeit reverting to previous versions is commonly a good start, in this specific case Argomirr's advice will not work because the later beta OBSE versions does not have retroactive compatibility (and the mod is function dependent of v0017b or later).

Edit: the actual line was edited because it did refer to a beta version newer than that OP's have. The above directives yet applies. Just, conversely, downloading the newer OBSE beta versions will not help in this issue too.
