Have you installed the latest MGE XE beta on top of the latest full release?

Yeah I am running the beta. I assume the most current beta is 0.10. I'm still crashing on startup, here's my log file.

MGE XE 0.10.0
MWSE dll injected
>> CreateD3DWrapper
-- CreateD3DWrapper calling Direct3DCreate9
GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 660 (10.18.13.6869)
<< CreateD3DWrapper
>> D3D Proxy CreateDevice
-- D3D Proxy Factory OK
<< D3D Proxy CreateDevice
>> CreateInputWrapper
<< CreateInputWrapper
-- Proxy Keyboard OK
-- Proxy Mouse OK
I've been trying to get this to work for quite some time, but no luck unfortunately.

I have the Steam version of MW, which is fully patched.

On top of this I installed the latest MGE XE from Nexusmods.

I had already installed DirectX 9, as described above.

I have no other mods.

Nevertheless, I have the same problem as described above: "Morrowind has stopped working."

Running as Administrator does not help.

The only thing that works is to check "Disable MGE in game".

Try disabling DEP for the exe. That worked for me! Copied and pasted from https://steamcommunity.com/app/22320/discussions/0/540735426667364612/

To do this under Win 7, open Control Panel, then click on "System".
Now, I have a German system, so I translate as best as I can:
Click on "Advanced System Settings" in the very left column.
A window will open, click on the "Advanced" tab and then in the "Performance" section the "Settings" button.
Another Window opens, click the "Data Execution Prevention" tab.
Enable "Turn on DEP for all programs and services except those I select", click "Add" and navigate to your Morrowind.exe file.
Click "OK" twice.
If this is the first time you used Data Execution Prevention you may have to restart your machine.

Now Morrowind should work all right without having to disable MGE XE's internal Script Extender.
