quinncannon
I am having to reinstall Fallout 3 due to disk crash and wonder if I have to sequentially patch Fallout3 or just use 1.7? I ask because Bethsada only keeps the latest patch available. Any feedback is appreciated.
phoneyLogic
Yep, 1.7 contains all previous patches and is most recommended atm
JimboUK
I found 1.6 to be more stable than 1.7. I'm running all the DLC on 1.6 without issue, don't know about achievements though because I've got everything to do with GFWL disabled.
VerbalEarthworm
1.7 is more stable than 1.6, especially in relation to the 'location mod ctd on save/fast-travel' bug and the 'mismatched head/body tone' bug.
overload1977
1.7 is by farr the best patch but some mods it dose not like (FOOK/FWE/MMM etc.)
JimboUK
1.7 is more stable than 1.6, especially in relation to the 'location mod ctd on save/fast-travel' bug and the 'mismatched head/body tone' bug. I've to reinstall the game after 1.7 because it was so unstable, don't know about the save thing as I use CASM. I don't have a problem with texture mismatches either. Twice I've upgraded to 1.7 and twice I've ended up reinstalling the game. I'm sure it works fine for some but I thought the problems I had with it were worth mentioning. 1.7 is by farr the best patch but some mods it dose not like (FOOK/FWE/MMM etc.) That may explain my issues. VerbalEarthworm
i don't use FOOK or FWE for this very reason. MMM is fine with 1.7 though.
