katashy
Okay, FOSE readme says it works with the Steam version and it also says it doesnt. I put all the files in the right place, I run it and it says im running an unknown versionof FO3. I have the latest patch and I am wanting to use the STABLE vrsion of FOSE, not the beta. Can anyon post here a step by step walkthrough on what I needfor it to work and how to get it working? All help appreciated.

ZephyrX
FOSE v1 does not have support for the latest 1.7 Fallout patch. To use this version, download FOSE v1.1 beta 9 or later.http://fose.silverlock.org/ According to that, your best bet is to install FOSE v1.1 beta 9. I'm pretty sure that the FOSE betas are stable so there's little reason not to use them. I suppose you could try to unpatch you game to a version that FOSE v1.1 will accept, but I'm not sure if Steam will allow it to run without trying to patch it.
