You look different in every mirror and photo

You take a picture of yourself, look at your self in the mirror, look at yourself in another mirror, and another mirror, you'll notice that you look quite different, some make you look nice some make you look handsome and some make you look hideous. So the question is, how do you know which one is the same image that people perceive you?

Reputedly, every time the Buddha (not our moderator, but Sid G. Buddha, the original) looked at a tree, he was seeing the tree for the first time all over again. Logic behind that statement is that the tree is constantly changing... adding cells, dropping leaves, the wind changes it somewhat, the position of the sun (or moon) is different... this parable is used to remind followers of that philosophy about the perpetually changing nature of the world.

People change a whole lot faster than trees... me, I've started quite a few mornings with a bad-hair-day, and been on top of my game by mid-afternoon... always makes for a different appearance.

The phenomena of differing appearance is only noteworthy if you're just now noticing it.

no no no no, I;m not talking about one day and some other day.

Like split seconds difference. I wouldn't say I'm obsessed with my appearance, I'm just curious to why different mirrors or cameras make you look different, and which one to trust. What if you need to do your hair but you don't know if it really looks good in that particular mirror, WHAT IF THE MIRROR IS LYING TO YOU D:

Hm, I do not know and actually I do not want to know. (There is circumstances around me which also give me a different look like lighting, my mood, how much I slept the last night...) But who knows, maybe what I call "green" is a totally differet colour for someone else and we simply both just learned that this particular colour is called "green" , no matter how each of us sees it... Same goes for everything I guess. I really do not know. And I do not care as I like how I see the things with my own eyes. ;)

(Nice sig/av mavrosh!)Next to the environmental influences, someone's vision at that exact moment will decide how you look.

Next to tastes and attitude.. everyone will see it differently because of a different mind-setting. Be glad there is.

But know this as well, you'll never be seen in the same way as you see yourself. Either positively or negatively. It doesn't matter. The environment does have a huge impact as well though, not as huge as the mind-setting. But that's why model-photographers take that many photos, as only one will look the way they want.

A way you can provide a positive/happy look, is to be positive/happy yourself. Most people (me included ;D) think that they look happier, more positive than they are perceived by others! But you know the line, think positive, be positive.

Now, enough morals for today ;D.

I never look the same in every picture. Each one is like a snowflake. As to mirror images, to me it's a deception. I get the general reflection of myself, but each mirror is different, example, the quality, thickness, flaws in the glass, etc..., so you'll never get the exact same reflection.

When you throw lighting in the mix, hues, direction, and intensity can make you look good or bad. I think the best lighting in pictures is natural lighting

I prefer my pictures taken when it's dark... heh.
