Never ever ever ever choose that con as a Primm Sheriff.

Never!!!That's the most wrong possible choice.

He is a psychopath.

If you want you can open discussion here who is the best sheriff for Primm.

NCR?They are better when Mayers anyway.

And there's a robot guy.He is also good.No tolls.That is good,right?

So we have only two choices left:NCR or the robot.

I choose.... the robot. He is the best possible option.

Dixi.

Meyers is no psychopath. He's a lawless lawman: anyone with the fainest idea of how any justice system works knows that people slip through the cracks all the time. Meyers does what he believes is right all of the time, no questions, no hesitations. Frankly, considering the letter of the law kept the last sheriff of Primm stone cold dead along with his wife. The convicts hadn't done anything in town that he could lawfully reign them in or take them on. Then he woke up with his throat slit. Honestly, learn a little about life in the Wild West or see Mad Max, and then talk to me about the absolute wrongness of extra-judicial killing. Take a look at Nuremberg and its trials then talk to me of the inherent morality of obeying the law regardless of source or intent.

Law is not always effective, nor always good. Given his characterization I have no doubts that Meyer's had really good reasons, and if they weren't, IF, then it was a bad judgement call. And police forces struggle everyday with the possibility of bad calls that end lives.

I always choose Meyers. hes not a crazy at all, he just means business and doesn't take s**t from anybody.

if Primm was a place that you actually came back to more then three times (for the Vances gun, the casino, and the deserters, ED-E) then the robot would be a good choice due to the discount in the store. I rarely ever go there though because the shop is garbage.

There's an expression that perfectly sums up Meyers' approach to law enforcement.

"There's more men that need killin' than horses that need stealin'." - Because sometimes, the most effective punishment for or deterrent against crime is a bullet to the head for the offender.

I'd bet damn good money that if Meyers had been Sheriff of Primm when the prison break happened, those Convicts never would've gotten past the fence-line.

If the NCR takes over, the townsfolk get (rightfully) hacked off at the new taxes and draconian rule of law. If Slim is reprogrammed, things would probably go to hell in a handbasket in regards to actually enforcing the law (FFS, he can't even get through his Goddamn speech without screwing up!). Meyers is rather obviously the best choice - he does what needs to be done, and he's damn quick about doing it.
